Prof. Hugo Guterman
Computer and Electronic Engineering
Hugo Guterman received his Electronic Engineering degree from the National Technological University of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1978 and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer and electrical engineering from the Ben-Gurion University, Beer-Sheva, Israel in 1982 and 1988, respectively. From 1988 to 1990 he was a postdoctoral fellow at MIT. Since 1990, he has been at the Department of Computer and Electrical Engineering at the Ben-Gurion University. He is the head of the Laboratory of Autonomous Robotics (LAR), Chairman of The Paul Ivanier Center for Robotics and the Israel Section of IEEE RAS. His research interests include AGVs, computer architecture, control, image and signal processing, neural networks and fuzzy logic, electrochemical processes, robotics, biomedicine, biotechnology and biosensors.
