Welcome to LAR
The Laboratory for Autonomous Robotics (LAR) is part of the
Faculty of Engineering in Ben Gurion University of the Negev.
The lab's main purpose is the development of the field of
autonomous robotics in various aspects.
The goal of the Hydro Camel project is to build an autonomous submarine that will meet the future needs of research and other varied forms of underwater exploration and scientific activity.
The race to achieve an autonomous vehicle is on. Leading companies such as Google, Mercedes-Benz, Ford and Volkswagen, are on their way to impact the market with autonomous cars. However, these cars are expensive, they do not offer a generic solution for existing vehicles, utility vehicles, buses, trucks, etc..
The Intelligent Vehicle Operator (IVO) provides a high tech, low cost, adaptive solution for these problems.
LIVCamera (Light Invariant Video Camera) is a platform for removing the affect the background light have on the scene and leave only the flash light.
The system output Images are not affected by ambient light sources (like the Sun) and also direct light sources (like a flash light).
HANDS is a platform technology for automatic ultrasound-guided needle insertion.
HANDS is a handheld medical device that can reliably pinpoint a clinician’s vascular target for accurate, automated needle insertion.
It combines advanced imaging technology with the precision of sophisticated robotic guidance.
